ST. LOUIS - Dillard's Department Stores Inc. has announced an expansion into Mexico.

Chairman William T. Dillard said recently that the department store chain, with 221 stores in 19 states in the South, Southwest and Midwest, including an operation at Marion, Ill., will open five new stores in Mexico.

He said plans call for three stores in Mexico City and one each in Guadalajara and Monterrey.
