PERRYVILLE Perry County Memorial Hospital has joined the Missouri Emergency Heart Network.
As a member of the network, the Perryville-based hospital is linked with Missouri Baptist Medical Center in St. Louis and other community hospitals throughout the region.
Network members receive a variety of support systems designed to assist their emergency room staff and physicians in providing care to patients with a cardiac emergency. The systems include access to lifesaving cardiac drugs, advance communication links between specialists at Missouri Baptist Medical Center and community hospitals, ongoing advanced cardiac life support training and continuing medical attention for physicians.

"Foundations of Real Estate Appraisal," a 30-hour course providing an overview of the appraisal process and covering principles of market analysis and valuation methods needed to appraise property, will be held at the University Center at Southeast Missouri State University Monday and Tuesday and Sept. 28 and 29.
The course is offered by the Office of Economic Development at the university.
Two additional appraisal courses will also be offered: "Appraising the Single Family Residence" at the Bootheel Educational Center in Malden Oct. 15, 16, 22 and 23, and "Real Estate Appraisal Methods" at Southeast Missouri State Nov. 9, 10, 16 and 17.
All courses are 30 hours. The fee for each course is $385. Additional information is available by calling 314-651-5911.
