The Small Business Development Center at Southeast Missouri State University will conduct sessions for area small-business persons and individuals planning business ventures. Sessions will be held at Cape Girardeau, Sikeston, and Perryville.
Gil Degenhardt will conduct the counseling sessions, which will last approximately one hour each. There is no charge.
The Cape Girardeau sessions will be held at the Chamber of Commerce office, 601 N. Kingshighway, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday. Persons may call 335-3312 for appointments.
Sikeston sessions are scheduled Tuesday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the Chamber of Commerce, 1 Industrial Drive. Call 471-2498 for appointments.
Perryville sessions will be held Thursday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the Southeast Missouri Regional Planning Commission office, 1 West St. Joseph. Appointments are available by calling 547-8357.

Joe and Donna Domian, Cape Girardeau representatives for Edward D. Jones & Co., will host a seminar for area tax professionals Thursday at 1749 Independence.
The seminar, "Partnership Taxation: Practical Planning Techniques," provides two continuing education credit hours.
The program will be broadcast via satellite from Jones' St. Louis headquarters. Participants will have an opportunity to address questions to the panelists. Two experts from the CPA firm of Arthur Anderson and Co. will be discussing partnership taxation.

Purcell Tire and Rubber has been ranked the third-largest tire retreader in the U.S., by The Modern Tire Dealer, a trade magazine.
Purcell, based in Potosi, has a branch at Cape Girardeau.
An estimated 27.8 million retreaded truck and passenger tires were produced in 1991, accounting for a $1.9 billion market, said the magazine.
Purcell Tire is Goodyear's largest independent dealer in North America, with 51 sites in nine states. Purcell is owned by Robert G. and Juanita C. Purcell.

Nolan E. Crane, president of Manhattan distributing Co. of Cape Girardeau, has been elected a member of the Wine and Spirits Wholesalers of America Inc. Board of Directors.
Crane was elected during the association's annual convention held last weekend at the Marriott Marquis in Atlanta, Ga.
The association is a Washington, D.C.,-based national trade association representing distributors of wines and distilled spirits. The group has 605 member firms in 42 states, the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico.

Limbaugh, a native of Cape Girardeau, has an audience of more than 11.7 million listeners.
The show will air live from New York from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
