"Alternative Sources of Financing" will be the subject of a live satellite program to be sponsored by the Edward D. Jones & Co. Professional Education Network Thursday.
The program will be held twice, from 11 a.m. to noon and from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m., at each of two offices in Cape Girardeau: 211 N. Sprigg and 1749 Independence.
The program panel includes Bob Andrews of the Small Business Administration; Jim O'Donnell of Capital for Business; and Dan Burkhardt of Edward D. Jones & Co.'s investment banking department, who will discuss alternatives to financing.

PERRYVILLE A U.S. Small Business Administration Guaranteed Loan Packaging Seminar will be held Wednesday at the Southeast Missouri Regional Planning Commission office in Perryville.
The two-and-a-half-hour seminar, starting at 9 a.m., is designed for potential and current small businesses considering loans to finance business startups, inventory purchases, machinery and, or, equipment, remodeling, or other small-business restructuring.
Bill Jokerst, loan officer of the the SBA office in St. Louis, and Buz Sutherland, director of the Small Business Development Center in Cape Girardeau, will be speakers.

A "Spring Composition Photography Workshop" will be held Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Holiday Inn in Cape Girardeau.
Martha McBride, who previously taught photography for the Cape Girardeau Vocational-Technical School, will serve as workshop leader.
McBride, who has a master of arts degree in instructional media, is a stock photographer, and has conducted workshops for the Department of Natural Resources. Her pictures have been published in Farm & Ranch Living, Organic Gardening, Women's World, other magazines, textbooks and calendars.
