The two-hour workshop will be held June 27 from 2-4 p.m. at J Katherine's Formalwear Shop, 826 Broadway. It is designed for women ages 13-20.

Topics include attitude, self-esteem, makeup, interview skills, wardrobe and modeling skills.

James C. Schmitt, president of the Better Business Bureau, will serve as instructor at three "Customer Satisfaction" seminars to be held at Cape Girardeau, Sikeston and Malden.

The seminars are designed to help top management teams understand the importance of the customer satisfaction process and how it impacts business growth.

Dates and places for the seminars are: June 9, Southeast Missouri State University's University Center; June 10, Coach House Inn at Sikeston; and June 11, Bootheel Education Center in Malden.

Each of the seminars will be held from 8:30-11:30 a.m. The seminars are sponsored by the Small Business Development Center and area chambers of commerce.

Little Caesars Pizza has added a new "twist" to its product line.

The company is the first pizza chain to internationally introduce spaghetti on a carry-out basis.

The local Little Caesars is in the Crossroads at the intersection of Kingshighway and Independence.

JCPenney, West Park Mall, collected more than 3,000 cans of food and cash donations equivalent to another 4,000 cans during its canned-food drive May 21-22.

The semi-annual event benefits four area agencies Safe House, Gibson Center, F.I.S.H., and the Salvation Army.

JCPenney customers who turned in a canned-food item received a coupon good for a 25 percent discount off any regular-priced item or red-ticketed item in the store.

ST. LOUIS - Boatmen's Bancshares has bought 20 branches of the failed Cimarron Federal Savings Association in Oklahoma.

Boatmen's paid $13.1 million for the branches, the company said last week. The purchase included deposits and other liabilities of about $450 million, plus some investment securities and cash.

St. Louis-based Boatmen's is one of the nation's 30 largest bank holding companies, with 420 faciliti es in Missouri. They include banks at Cape Girardeau and Jackson.

Spartech Corp.'s second-quarter net earnings for 1993 were up 20 percent over the same period of 1992.

Net earnings for the three months ended May 1 were $1.8 million, or 8 cents per fully diluted share, up from $1.5 million, or 7 cents per diluted share, for the same period last year, said Bradley B. Buechler, president and chief executive officer.

Revenues were $47.4 million, up slightly from the $45.4 million in revenues reported in the same quarter of 1992.

Spartech operates two businesses in Cape Girardeau Atlas Alchem, One Atlas Drive, and Resin Exchange, Nash Road Industrial Park.

POPLAR BLUFF More than 110 business and civic leaders recently joined Drury Inn executives in a celebration at the newly- renovated Drury Inn at Business 60 and U.S. 67 North here.

The three-story hotel underwent a complete renovation, including wall coverings and fixtures.

"Each of our hotels undergoes a major renovation every five or six years, said Chuck Drury, president of Drury Inns Inc. "Since we started building hotels more than 20 years ago, we have chosen a traditional design that can be updated easily."

Drury Inns are throughout an 11-state region.
