The Small Business Development Center of Southeast Missouri State University will conduct counseling sessions for area small businesses in Southeast Missouri this month. Counselor Gil Degenhardt will be available for free one-hour sessions by appointment at:

Alliance Bank holds its grand opening

On Nov. 19, more than 300 guests visited the new Alliance Bank facility at 217 N. Kingshighway for its grand opening. At the opening, Edward Holmes of Jackson won $100 for coming closest in guessing the amount of currency and coin in a jar. Carl Meyer of Patton, Mo., also went home a winner with a new 27-inch flat-screen television.
