Wieser Honda wins company award for '02
Wieser Honda has earned the Honda President's Award for outstanding performance in 2002. This award is given only to dealerships that demonstrate excellence throughout all areas of their operations, including customer satisfaction, service and sales.
Wieser Honda is one of only 347 President's Award winners out of 1,000 Honda automobile dealerships in the U.S. This is the fifth time that Wieser Honda has received the President's Award.
SBC donates three dogwood trees to Zonta
Zonta members were instrumental in the overall success of the 11th annual Project ReDirectory campaign to recycle outdated directories. As a result, SBC is donating three dogwoods in recognition of Zonta's involvement in the project. The trees will be planted in Cape County Park along with a plaque commemorating the event.
The Zonta Club of Cape Girardeau, a chartered club of Zonta International, is dedicated to advance the status of women worldwide through community service projects and contributions.
The local club supports Zonta International with 30 percent of the club's funds raised going to these projects. Since the club's charter in 1976, the club has raised over $152,000 for contributions to community and international service projects and the membership has donated over 35,000 service hours toward community service projects.
Zonta International has more than 34,000 members in more than 1,230 clubs in 70 countries.
Jackson chamber to hold golf extravaganza
The Jackson Chamber of Commerce has announced its annual golf extravaganza, which will be April 11 at Bent Creek Golf Course. A hole sponsorship is $100, and a four-person team entry is $270.
