Farmers market workshop to be held Tuesday
A farmers market workshop will be held from 1 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Perryville Area Higher Education Center at 108 S. Progress Drive. Topics include taxing issues, health, weights and measurements, selling eggs and growing in high tunnels. Organizers say the free workshop will provide a good opportunity to meet other vendors, to share information about growing and to introduce new area farmers markets and vendors. The workshop is sponsored by the University of Missouri Extension and Missouri Department of Agriculture. For more information, call Donna Aufdenberg, horticulture specialist, at (573) 238-2420.
