The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers at Wappapello Lake recently recognized several local businesses including Wal-Marts in Cape Girardeau and other towns, Black River Coliseum, First Midwest Bank, Ozark Border Electric and Rocky Top Guns for their contribution toward Ranger Willie B. Safe's Public Safety Education Campaign during 2004.
Safety display boards depicting water safety and hunter safety were exhibited in each of the Wal-Mart stores' sporting good departments, Black River Coliseum and Rocky Top Gun.
