JCS/Tel-Link opens location in Poplar Bluff
Cape Girardeau-based JCS/ Tel-Link recently opened a store at 1904 N. Westwood Blvd. in Poplar Bluff, Mo. This is the company's sixth location. The others are in Cape Girardeau, Perryville and Doniphan in Missouri and Chester and Anna in Illinois. The new store will focus on sales and service of Verizon Wireless products, including cellular telephones, wireless Internet cards and personal e-mail devices. Michelle Crittenden, Aubree Ebersole and Trey Gilmore have joined the sales team at the Poplar Bluff location.
Color Me Beautiful Studio, a women's boutique, has relocated from the Famous Barr wing at Westfield West Park to the Steve and Barry's wing. The owners/managers are Linda Springs, Becky Davidson and Karen Van Ellis. "We have a great selection of cosmetics, skin-care products and new mineral powder for all skin types," said Springs. "Our Circle E candles are very popular. They come out of Texas and we sell a lot of them." Springs said the boutique will soon receive a shipment of spring sunglasses and spring jewelry.
Dented Can & More opened Saturday at 52 Plaza Way in Cape Girardeau. The owners are Dale Beaird and Tommy and Marissa Waters. The new store carries canned goods, detergent, toothpaste, trash bags, baby formula -- everything a traditional grocery store carries except cold items and produce. The shopping area is about 3,000 square feet. Marissa Waters said their items are traditionally 60 percent less expensive than other grocery stores.
Kampgrounds of America Inc., based in Billings, Mont., recently honored Garry and Debbie Ingram of the Perryville/Cape Girardeau KOA with the President's Award for their outstanding facility and operation. The award recognizes campgrounds that receive exceptional scores on their quality assurance facilities review and for being a positive part of the KOA system. As part of the award, the Ingrams will receive special signs, flags and nametags for their campground and staff to denote their status as a KOA President's Award winner.
