ORCHESTRA: WELCOME

Needed: Families to board 45 members of the American Wind Symphony Orchestra during a four-day visit later this month. The group's director and founder, Robert Boudreau, will return to Cape Girardeau during his last concert season before retirement.

Cape Girardeau can thank many tireless volunteers -- especially Dr. Dan Cotner -- for bringing this talented group of musicians to town on several occasions.

Due to high waters, the waterways symphony will perform at the Cape Girardeau Municipal Band Shell at 8 p.m. June 24. Four mini-concerts are also planned June 22 and 23 throughout the city.

Anyone who has experienced the musical pleasure of a previous wind symphony concert raves about the concerts. Let's roll out the hospitality mat to these talented musicians and the American Wind Symphony Orchestra.
