Everything's coming up roses and daisies and petunias at the Council of Garden Clubs flower show today and Sunday. Members of five Cape Girardeau horticulture clubs will display their finest at the Family Life Center of the Centenary United Methodist Church, 333 N. Ellis.

Doors will be open to the public from 1 to 5 p.m. today and noon to 3 p.m. Sunday. A free-will donation will go toward upkeep of Capaha Park's rose garden. Visitors can judge for themselves as entries will be honored with ribbons in more than 40 categories.

This flower show is a perennial favorite with 35 years of tradition. It is an endeavor worthy of community support.
