THE PUBLIC MIND: EVERYONE HAS A RIGHT TO SPEAK UP TO CABLE ABOUT THE MTV CONTROVERSY

Open Letter to Roger Harms, TCI Cable:

Why don't you just tell citizens to sit down and shut up when they have an opinion on something. That is essentially what you are telling your customers concerning the MTV controversy.

Whether or not a petition has any effect on your programming we are all still allowed to have an opinion on any subject we choose and can gather petitions on that matter despite what you think.

Maybe we don't want to pay for some of the junk that is shown on cable or on network television or maybe there's something on we really like and enjoy, either way we have every right to say something about it because it's OUR dollars that put you on the air.

Every time a group like AFA (American Family Association) dares to speak up about something, people like you think they are way out of line. You are the one out of line. Anyone can speak up and it's time we all did.

Sincerely,

Lisa Simmons
