JACKSON -- It was a big game in a big season for Nathan Windeknecht.
With his hat trick in Jackson High's 7-0 soccer win over Sikeston on Tuesday, Windeknecht, a junior, scored his 21st, 22nd and 23rd goals of the season, breaking Rick Fink's season scoring record of 22 goals.
Jackson improved to 9-3-6.
Also Tuesday, Chris Schuette scored two goals, and Spencer Knowlan and Eric Rhodes each scored once.
Windeknecht, Brandon Blattel, James Skaggs and Robbie Hrabik each handed assists.
Goalkeeper Jeremy Balsman earned the shutout.
Jackson will travel to Cape Girardeau Central, which has turned its season around and has won five straight, on Thursday.

MARION, Ill. -- The Tigers battled back from an early 2-0 deficit and scored five goals for a road win Tuesday.
It was the Tigers' fifth win in a row, improving Central to 8-11-2 entering an important home contest against Jackson on Thursday.
Luke Fuemmeler scored the final two goals for Central, one on a crossing pass from Mike Stone and the other on an assist from Nathan Gibbar.
After falling behind 2-0 after the first 17 minutes of the game, Gibbar got the Tigers on the board with a penalty kick at the 22-minute mark. Central trailed 2-1 at the half.
Two quick goals in the second half put the Tigers up for good. Jeff McMullen scored on a head ball at the 59-minute mark and three minutes later Pat Dunham scored on a rebound.

Notre Dame 15-15
Cape Central 7-12
Notre Dame used its entire squad in its win at Cape Central on Tuesday.
The Lady Bulldogs improved to 13-4-2.
For Notre Dame, Jennifer Glueck had five kills and Erin Vickery and Bonnie Essner each totaled three kills. Sara Westrich added 13 assists.
Notre Dame's JV won 15-2, 15-4.

New Madrid County Central 9-2
JACKSON -- Jackson improved to 16-6-4 with its straight-game win at home on Tuesday.
Valerie Jansen had six kills, Chrissi Glastetter totaled five kills and seven service aces and Heather Brown delivered nine assists.
Jackson's JV won 15-3, 16-14 and its freshman split 15-6, 7-15.
Perryville 15-6-15
Grandview 3-15-3
PERRYVILLE -- Perryville improved to 13-8-3 with its win at home on Tuesday.
Laura Ernst had 11 kills, Renee Kaempfe nine kills, Shannon Dreyer 11 assists and Amy Verseman eight kills and eight assists.
Grandview's JV won 15-8, 16-14.

Chaffee 2-15-2
BELL CITY -- With its starters playing in the first and third games, Bell City won at home on Tuesday.
The Lady Cubs improved to 21-1-1.
Courtney Brockmeyer had four kills, Leslie Lee six assists, Melissa Richardson five digs and Jessica Shelby three blocks.
Leopold 9-15-15
Woodland 15-4-10
MARBLE HILL -- Woodland played well, taking the first game from visiting Leopold, but eventually lost on Tuesday.
Leopold improved to 17-2-1.
For Woodland (8-11-2), Sarah Booth had nine digs, Toni Cowell nine assists, Dianna Lukefahr six blocks and five kills, Lilo Whitener five blocks and Julia Cutsinger five assists.
Alicia Halter led Leopold with nine kills and Sarah Gowen added seven kills and 20 assists. Hanna Jansen added six kills.
Bloomfield 15-15
Oran 8-8
ORAN -- Oran fell to 2-15-2 with its loss at home Tuesday.
For Oran, Crystal Cochran had four service aces and Chrissy Roberts added five kills.
Bloomfield's JV won 15-13, 11-15, 15-6.
DeSoto 15-15
St. Vincent 12-7
DESOTO -- St. Vincent suffered its sixth consecutive loss in Jefferson County Conference play as DeSoto posted a two-set victory.
St. Vincent, which won its first two conference games, fell to 2-6 in conference and 6-12-2 overall.
Fara Galati led St. Vincent with five kills and five blocks. Jessica Lakenan also had five kills while Rachael Schnurbusch had 10 service points. Debbie Welker dished out 17 assists.
In JV, St. Vincent saw a seven-match win streak end in a 15-12, 15-12 setback.
St. Vincent returns to action Tuesday at Windsor.
