DELTA -- Twin Rivers clobbered Oran 56-16 to win the Delta girls basketball tournament Wednesday night.

No. 3 Oran, which pulled off a mild upset by knocking off second-seeded Chaffee on Tuesday, failed to score 10 points in any quarter and found itself down 25-5 at halftime.

Sara Heisserer scored nine points to lead Oran.

St. Vincent 50, Chaffee 42

DELTA -- St. Vincent outscored Chaffee 9-2 in the second quarter to take a 30-15 lead into halftime of the third place game of the Delta Tournament.

The Squaws were led in scoring by Stephanie Schremp, who put in 18 points.

Stevie Burks led Chaffee with 12 points.

Dexter 39, Delta 25

DELTA -- Delta's Amanda Hester scored a team-high eight points as the Lady Bobcats dropped the consolation championship game of its own tournament.

Hester was one of just four players to score for Delta.

Delta and Dexter were tied at eight after the first quarter, but Dexter outscored the Lady Bobcats 11-2 in the second period.

BOYS BASKETBALL

Junior high

Cape Central's ninth-grade "A" team improved to 8-3 for the year with a 43-40 win over Notre Dame.

Cody Hill and Jordan White each scored nine points for Central.

In the "B" game, Central downed Notre Dame 49-31.

Derick Ruth scored 11 to pace the Tigers.
