DE SOTO -- The St. Vincent girls improved to 5-1 on the season with an easy 52-31 win over Kingston Wednesday night.

Danielle Sutterer erupted for 27 points, followed by Jessica Lakenan with 18.

St. Vincent led 22-14 at halftime and led 39-19 going into the fourth quarter.

The Squaws picked up the win despite making just eight of its 20 free throws.

Central sweeps De Soto

DE SOTO -- Cape Central's ninth-grade basketball teams picked up two easy wins over De Soto.

In the A' game, Cape Central won 68-36. Jeremiah Dukes led Central with 20 points, followed by Willie Colon with 18.

In the B" game, Central dominated with a 36-8 win.

Corey Bowman had 13 points for Cape Central.

Central eighth-grade teams win two

FARMINGTON -- Central beat Farmington 62-50 to improve to 4-2 on the season.

Jake Knepp and Micah Reutzel scored 13 apiece for the Tigers, while Mitch Craft and Ryan Delph added 12.

In the B' Game, Central won 54-26 to go to 2-1 on the year.
