SPORTS DIGEST: SEMO SOCCER PLAYER ON NATIONAL TITLE TEAM

Southeast Missouri State University soccer player Jen Cross was part of the St. Louis J.B. Marine team that won the National Open Club Championship last week.

Cross, a St. Louis native who will be a sophomore defender for the Otahkians this year, joined the J.B. Marine squad after it had won the Missouri state title and advanced to regionals.

J.B. Marine captured the national championship in Orlando, Fla., defeating a team from Washington state 2-1. The national tournament featured many of the country's top collegiate players.
