Cotner and the Rams got a different outcome and some revenge on Friday as he poured in 28 points and pulled in 15 rebounds to lead Scott City to a 68-44 win at home.

"We really wanted to avenge that loss," Cotner told the Missourian after the game. "We lost to them by four points in the Christmas tournament and it was kind of a big letdown. It's a big rivalry there. We were glad to come back here, home court, have all our fans and the support of all our hometown here, and avenge that loss."

The win was the second in a row for the Rams, who started the season 1-8. Earlier in the week, Scott City routed South Pemiscot behind a career-high 34 points from Cotner.
