Notre Dame's Logan Heisserer finished 2 for 3 with a double to lead the Bulldogs to a 2-1 win over defending Class 2 state champion Valle Catholic on Friday in the opener of the Notre Dame Bulldog Classic.

The senior is batting .356 on the year and leads the team with 72 plate appearances. The victory over Valle notched Notre Dame's 11th consecutive win.

"We want to see everybody's best, and that's just going to make us better," Bulldogs coach Jeff Graviett said. "And as we keep going through these guys and getting these opportunities, there shouldn't be a lot we haven't seen."

Notre Dame remains the top-ranked team in the Missouri High School Baseball Coaches Association Class 4 poll.
