Jill Schnurbusch continued her strong indoor season for the Southeast Missouri State track and field team over the weekend.
Schnurbusch, a junior from Notre Dame Regional High School, earned her second first-place finish in three meets, winning the pole vault at the SIU Saluki Open in Carbondale, Ill.
Schnurbusch, who broke the Southeast women's indoor pole vault record in the Redhawks' opening meet this year, tied the school's second-best all-time distance of 11 feet, 11 3/4 inches that she previously held.
The record height for Schnurbusch is 12 feet. She also owns the school's overall pole vault record of 12 2 1/2 set during last year's outdoor season.
Another highlight for Southeast was senior Josh Uchtman breaking his own school indoor shot put record with a first-place distance of 60-9 1/4. His previous mark was 60-8.
Uchtman also was fifth in the weight throw (59-10 1/4).
Freshman Reggie Miller was second in the triple jump (48-4 3/4), fourth in the long jump (23-2 1/2) and fourth in the high jump (6-6).
Junior Craig Robinson was third in the weight throw (60-10 1/2) and fourth in the shot put (53-0 1/4). Freshman Kevin Farley finished fifth in the shot put (52-3 1/4).
Sophomore Blake Carter was second in the long jump (24-1 1/2), while freshman Jacob Kent was third in the high jump (6-6).
Freshman Kim Moye was second in the triple jump (36-9 1/2), with freshman Jessica Brown fifth (34-11 3/4).
Senior Jessica Bollinger placed third in the mile run (5 minutes, 15.24 seconds).
The women's 1,600-meter relay team of Magan Edwards, Angelica Larrier, Tionna Borner and Jerika Lewis was third (3:59.32).
Senior Max Weiser from Saxony Lutheran High School and freshman Curt Wood tied for fourth in the 800 (1:59.08).
Southeast returns to action at the Illini Classic this weekend in Champaign, Ill.
