Southeast Missouri State's Lennington earns OVC's weekly baseball honor

Southeast Missouri State senior third baseman Andy Lennington was selected the Ohio Valley Conference Player of the Week after batting .571 with two home runs and six RBIs in the Redhawks' four games last week.

Lennington went 8 for 14 on the week with two doubles and five runs scored, posting a .667 on-base percentage in games against Alcorn State and Illinois State. He belted a home run in the mid-week win against Alcorn State and hit another in the three-game series against Illinois State. He had a three-hit game in the three-game sweep at the hands of the Cardinals.
