Southeast Missouri State junior point guard Jordan Hunter has received her second straight Ohio Valley Conference newcomer of the week honor.

Hunter led the Redhawks in scoring in their most recent two games, notching 14 points in Wednesday's win over Saint Louis and recording 17 points along with a career-high seven assists in Monday's loss at Tennessee State.

The junior college transfer made 45 percent of her field goals, 50 percent of her 3-pointers and all 10 of her free throws in the two contests.

Hunter, the OVC newcomer of the week three times this season, is the league's No. 6 scorer during conference play with 17.5 points per game and she ranks first in assists with 6.0 per contest.

Overall on the season, Hunter is Southeast's top scorer with an 11.2 average.
