SE GYMANSTS TO COMPETE AT MU

Southeast Missouri State University gymnastics coach Kris Buchheister will be returning `home' today when the Otahkians take part in the 9th annual Shakespeare's Festival at the University of Missouri.

Buchheister, in her second season at Southeast, competed in gymnastics at Missouri and she also served 11 seasons as an assistant coach with the Tigers before coming to Cape Girardeau.

Competing along with Missouri and Southeast in the 2 p.m. meet will be Illinois State and Centenary.

Southeast will be in its second meet of the season today. The Otahkians opened the campaign Jan. 8 in the Maui Invitational in Hawaii, losing to West Virginia 188.85 to 184.375.

Missouri will also be in its second competition. The Tigers finished third out of four teams at Michigan State Jan. 9, scoring 188.725 points.
