CRYSTAL CITY — The Poplar Bluff Mules fell to Saxony Lutheran 57-50 in the final of the Rolla “Duke” Herbert Classic on Friday night at Crystal City High School.

Preston Moore led the Mules with 21 points while Torrence Williams and Brendan Durden each finished with eight points.

Durden and Mar’Lon Hickman Roberson were each named to the all-tournament team for their efforts.

The Mules don’t have long to think about the loss as they’re back on the road today.

Poplar Bluff will play in the Black Diamond Harley Davidson Shootout at Marion High School in Marion, Ill. The Mules will take on Kankakee at 3 p.m.

Next week, Poplar Bluff heads to Sikeston for the SEMO Conference Tournament where it opens against the Jackson Indians on Dec. 5 at 5:30 p.m.
