Salukis ring up record 66-13 victory

CARBONDALE, Ill. -- Brandon Jacobs rushed for 128 yards and three touchdowns Saturday in Southern Illinois' 66-13 blowout of Western Illinois.

Craig Turner, Arkee Whitlock and Jon Cairns each ran for one touchdown for the Salukis, who set a team record for most points scored against a Division I-AA opponent. Joel Sambursky added two touchdown passes for Southern Illinois (8-1, 5-0 Gateway). Sambursky passed for 157 yards.

Western Illinois (4-5, 2-3 Gateway) managed only 183 yards of total offense while allowing 606 yards.
