Jefferson City (3-1) at Jackson (4-0), 7 p.m.
Last week: Jackson 28, Sikeston 8; Jefferson City 28, Poplar Bluff 7
Last year's meeting: did not play
Notes: Jackson faces its toughest test this season against visiting Jefferson City, the first team on its schedule above .500 while the four previous opponents are a combined 4-12. The Blue Jays feature an option-style offense emphasizing the run. Jason Davis is coming off a 125-yard game against Poplar Bluff last week. For Jackson, quarterback Joey Starke had a big game last week, completing a pair of long passes to spark scoring drives. Jason Meystedt (315 yards) and Austin Bock (253 yards) continue to share the load at running back.

Last week: Scott City 31, Brentwood 7; Portageville 39, Chaffee 14
Last year's meeting: Scott City 55, Chaffee 14
Notes: Scott City is rolling into a homecoming date with winless Chaffee. Chaffee has lost 18 straight, and has not beaten Scott City since 1985. That streak looks safe. Chaffee has scored 21 points through four games. Matt Schaefer leads the Rams offense, averaging more than 150 yards rushing per game.
Festus St. Pius (1-3) at St. Vincent (3-1), 7 p.m.
Last week: St. Vincent 40, Grandview 7; Valle 35, St. Pius 0
Last year's meeting: St. Vincent 24, St. Pius 6
Notes: St. Vincent tries to remain perfect in defense of its MAFC Blue Division title after routing Grandview last week. The Indians will try to stop St. Pius running back Carlos Bisch, who has rushed for 680 yards and four touchdowns. St. Pius has only completed 11 passes for 93 yards this season and has scored more than eight points only once -- in a 29-22 win against Grandview. St. Vincent also depends on the running game, with four different backs over 100 yards on the season.
