ST. LOUIS -- Southeast collected 21 hits as it swept St. Louis University in a women's softball double-header Monday, winning the opener 10-3 and the nightcap 5-3.

Southeast (5-4) banged out 12 hits in the opener and took advantage of four St. Louis errors for nine unearned runs.

Renee Mueller (3-2) picked up the win, allowing 10 hits in going the distance.

Brooke Nett and Jenny Doehring each had two hits for Southeast. Doehring's hits both went for triples as she finished with four RBIs.

St. Louis (4-13) committed two errors in a five-run second for Southeast. The Otahkians took a 6-1 lead into the seventh and iced the game with four runs.

Kristin Rossi (3-5) took the loss for St. Louis.

Nett added two more hits in the nightcap and picked up two RBIs. Kelsey White also had a triple and a double as the Otahkians had nine hits overall.

Southeast starter Jennifer Dippel (2-1) allowed eight hits in four innings and was awarded the win. Doehring struck out five batters over the final three innings for her first save of the season.

The Otahkians never trailed in the game, jumping out to a 1-0 lead in the first. After both teams scored a pair of runs in the third, Southeast went ahead 5-2 in the fourth. St. Louis scored its final run in the bottom of the fourth but Doehring came on to close the door.

Jennifer Riva (1-4) suffered the loss.
