NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- A day after dropping out of a first-place tie in the Ohio Valley Conference, Southeast Missouri State University's volleyball team rebounded and won easily on Saturday.
Southeast beat Tennessee State 15-9, 15-5, 15-10 before a sparse crowd of 68 at Kean Hall. The Otahkians' loss in three straight games on Friday at Austin Peay pushed them out of a tie for first in the conference.
Saturday's win improved the Otahkians to 21-8 overall and 11-3 in the OVC. Tennessee State fell to 4-17 and 2-13.
Southeast's Angie Aschoff totaled 16 kills, Jackie Derwort added 14 kills and 13 digs and Krista Haukap had 10 kills.
Tuba Meto delivered 40 assists and three service aces and Nicole Gonzalez had 12 digs.
Alishia Marshall and Tammy Timmons each had 15 kills for Tennessee State.
