NIXA, Mo. — New Madrid County Central competed against some of the top talent in the state, but fell in its final two games at the Nixa Tournament this past weekend.
The Eagles (12-6) lost 78-67 to Nixa (18-0) on Friday, Jan. 27, and 62-50 to Logan-Rogersville (14-3) on Saturday, Jan. 28.
“Nixa hosted a great tournament,” said NMCC assistant coach Dontre Jenkins. “It allows us to see and compete with teams that we normally don’t see in southeast Missouri.”
Nixa is ranked No. 2 in Class 6, while Logan-Rogersville is No. 10 in Class 4.
NMCC will play Lift for Lift Academy in the Charleston Shootout on Saturday, Feb. 4, and travel to Caruthersville (11-2) on Saturday, Feb. 7
