Competing in the 3A sectionals, New Madrid County Central's boys lost to Park Hills 55-49 while Doniphan's girls also were defeated by Park Hills 74-64.

Both Park Hills teams advance to 3A quarterfinal games Saturday night at the Farmington Civic Center. Borgia will provide the opposition in each contest.

Heath Camden and Jason Ste. Gemme each scored 14 points to pace the Park Hills boys (17-9), who trailed 20-19 at halftime but rallied to lead 37-29 after three quarters. Demarcus Johnson had 18 for New Madrid (17-10).

Amanda Hampton poured in 25 points for the Park Hills girls (24-3) while Bethany Orendorff also had 25 for Doniphan (23-4).
