COLUMBIA, Mo. -- Missouri junior forward Justin Safford suffered a torn ACL in Wednesday's victory over Colorado.
The team said Thursday that Safford injured the knee when he landed on it awkwardly after converting a layup in the first half of the Tigers' 92-63 win over the Buffaloes. The Bloomington, Ill., native was helped to the locker room by the training staff but returned to the bench after halftime on his own.
The injury will be reassessed next week when treatment options will be decided.
