Oak Ridge (2-2) used a three-run seventh inning to get by Delta (1-3) on Tuesday afternoon to win 4-2 on the road.
Alana Taylor, Anna Davis and Kinsley Bogenpohl all notched two hits in the win for Oak Ridge. Defensively, Allison Seabaugh pitched 5.1 innings, earning two runs while Kinsley Bogenpohl appeared in relief to secure the win for the Bluejays.
Oak Ridge next hosts Scott County Central on Thursday in the Oak Ridge Tournament, while Delta next hosts Holcomb (9-4) at 4 p.m. on Wednesday.
__Advance 22, Bloomfield 2__
Advance (7-3) saw its dominant season continue with a 22-2 win at Bloomfield (2-4) on Tuesday afternoon, scoring 13 runs in the third inning and another seven in the fifth.
Maggie Stubenrauch led the Hornet offense with four hits in the matchup, batting in a game-high six RBIs. Brogan Wright-Hawkins trailed her with three hits while pitching 3.0 innings as Advance’s starter, allowing two hits, five walks, two hit-by-pitches and an earned run while striking out five batters.
Advance next hosts Oran (8-2) at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
__West County 4, Scott City 2__
Scott City (6-4) saw its four-game win streak come to a close on Tuesday with a tight 4-2 loss to West County (11-3) after the bats went dry late.
Olivia Ponder’s two hits led the way for the Rams, while Averie O’Brien and J Black both finished with one hit each.
On the mound, Mackenzie Lawless pitched 6.0 innings for Scott City without earning a run, allowing four hits, three walks and two hit-by-pitches while striking out seven. West County’s Gracie Wright pitched 7.0 innings, striking out 16 batters while allowing four hits and two walks.
Scott City next plays at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday at Park Hills Central (3-3).
