Bob Wickman pitched a perfect ninth for his eighth save as Cleveland won for just the eighth time in 27 games.

DETROIT -- David Eckstein had a homer and three RBIs runs to help Anaheim its seventh straight victory and send Detroit to its seventh straight loss.

Anaheim has won 16 of 18, the best 18-game stretch in team history.

TORONTO -- Bret Boone hit a go-ahead, two-run double in the ninth inning for Seattle. John Olerud homered and had three RBIs for the Mariners, who overcame a 5-0 deficit. Seattle is a major-league best 15-3 on the road.
