NEW YORK -- Byung-Hyun Kim pitching at Yankee Stadium for the first time since his World Series meltdowns last year, got six outs to preserve the Arizona Diamondbacks' 9-5 victory over New York on Wednesday.

Arizona starter Miguel Batista outpitched Mike Mussina, getting home-run support from backup catcher Rod Barajas and Steve Finley just as he did in Game 5 of last year's Fall Classic.

Finley homered twice, his 15th career multihomer game, and drove in five runs as Arizona won at Yankee Stadium for the first time in six tries -- including last year's Series.

Kim struck out four batters for his 17th save.

Padres 2, Orioles 0

BALTIMORE -- Brian Lawrence pitched eight innings of five-hit ball, and Ray Lankford drove in two runs as San Diego averted a sweep at Baltimore.

Trevor Hoffman pitched the ninth for his 16th save, finishing the combined six-hitter. He has converted 23 straight save chances, the longest current run in the majors.

Marlins 13, Royals 5

KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Preston Wilson snapped out of a long hitting slump with two homers and three RBIs as Florida beat Kansas City.

Wilson, mired in an 0-for-26 drought, went 3-for-4 while batting in the eighth spot in the order for the first time since 1999.

Giants 6, Blue Jays 3

TORONTO -- Barry Bonds hit his 22nd homer, and Damon Minor went 4-for-4 and homered in his third straight game for San Francisco.

Bonds has homered in 12 straight series.

Toronto reliever Cliff Politte threw three straight balls and then a strike before Bonds homered into the second deck in left field, giving the Giants a 6-3 lead in the ninth.

Braves 3, Twins 2

MINNEAPOLIS -- Rookie Damian Moss pitched seven shutout innings, helped by a spectacular play by center fielder Andruw Jones, and Atlanta defeated Minnesota.

Phillies 7, Indians 3

CLEVELAND -- Vicente Padilla pitched out of jams for most of his 6 1-3 innings, leading Philadelphia over Cleveland.

Padilla (9-4) was in trouble throughout his 126-pitch outing, but the right-hander got the big outs when he needed to and limited the Indians to three runs and nine hits.

Danys Baez (5-6) lost for the third time in four starts.

Rangers 10, Reds 4

ARLINGTON, Texas -- Rookie Kevin Mench hit a two-run single and Michael Young had a bases-loaded triple as Texas rallied for seven runs in the eighth inning.

John Rocker (1-1), who pitched a scoreless eighth, got the win.

Red Sox 7, Rockies 5

BOSTON -- Nomar Garciaparra reached base three times without a solid hit as Boston took advantage of five Colorado errors.

Frank Castillo (5-6) allowed five runs on eight hits and three walks, striking out four in 6 1-3 innings for his third win in his last four starts, despite three errors by the Red Sox.

Ugueth Urbina pitched the final two innings for his 19th save in 20 opportunities.

Expos 2, Tigers 1, 10 innings

DETROIT -- Vladimir Guerrero hit his 16th home run and later scored on Andres Galarraga's 10th-inning single.

The Tigers had the potential tying run thrown out at the plate in the bottom of the 10th, then left the bases loaded when Graeme Lloyd struck out Randall Simon to end it for his career-high fifth save.

White Sox 2, Mets 1

CHICAGO -- Tony Graffanino provided all of Chicago's offense, homering and then driving in the go-ahead run as the White Sox beat the New York Mets.

Dodgers 4, Devil Rays 2

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. -- Andy Ashby allowed one run over 7 1-3 innings, and Shawn Green hit a solo homer for Los Angeles.

Eric Gagne got the final three outs for his 22nd save in 23 opportunities.

Athletics 8, Brewers 0

OAKLAND, Calif. -- Mark Mulder allowed nine hits in his first shutout of the season, and Terrence Long drove in three runs as Oakland won its season-best seventh straight.

The A's are the only undefeated team in interleague play this season.

Astros 5, Cubs 4

HOUSTON -- Craig Biggio hit a two-run double, and Jeff Bagwell had a go-ahead sacrifice fly in a three-run seventh inning, rallying Houston to victory.
