JACKSON -- In the best shooting performance Jackson coach Steve Burk can remember, Jackson High crushed visiting Perryville 86-44 in a makeup game Wednesday night.

According to the 1999 Missouri High School Sports Record Book published by the Missouri State high School Activities Association, the 15 threes is the second-most recorded by a Missouri team. Scott City holds the record of 24 against Tamms Egyptian in 1997.

The Indians (12-12) made 15 3-pointers and 16 2-pointers in Burk's last home game after 20 years at Jackson.

Leading the way for Jackson was Tory Meyr, who made five treys and scored 19 points. Lucas McCulley made four threes and scored 12 points. Levi Bollinger sank two threes and scored 11 points; and Brad Hilbert made two threes and scored 10 points.

"They came out and played zone and they were trying to take away our inside game," Burk said. "We shot them out of that. When they went man, they were still trying to jam the inside. We got hot and made some shots. This was our last home game and it was good for our seniors to go out with a win at home."

Ryan Wichern led Perryville (6-17) with eight points.
