Saxony Lutheran junior Brianna Mueller netted a game-high 22 points and recorded five rebounds, three assists and two steals to lead the top-seeded Saxony Lutheran girls basketball team in a semifinal win over the fifth-seeded Miller Career Phoenix in the Farmington Invitational on Thursday.

The Crusaders started out firing on all cylinders in the first quarter with 29 points -- more points than the Phoenix did the entire game.

Saxony Lutheran (3-0) will face third-seeded Dexter (2-0) for the championship at 8 p.m. today. The Bearcats earned the bid to play in the title game following an upset of second-seeded Jackson 57-48 in Thursday's final pool-play game.

Dexter's Melanie McKuin scored a game-high 22 points and tallied five rebounds and four steals to lead the Bearcats. Dakota Reynolds recorded 15 points and three assists, while Hannah Thurmon added 10 rebounds and eight points for Dexter.

Cassidi Tomsu led with 16 points and four rebounds for the Indians, while Rachel Crites tossed in 11 points. Jackson (2-1) will face Miller Career Academy (2-1) for third place tonight at 6:30 p.m.

Charleston junior Cheyenne Randle scored 33 points to lead the Blue Jays in the conference road victory.

The Bluejays took an 18-point lead at halftime. The Rams battled in the second half, outscoring the Blue Jays by 11 points.

Seniors Sierra Frazier netted 23 points and Juwanna Walker chipped in 14 points for Charleston (3-0).

Jefferson's Mike Reid nailed a game-high 25 points, including four 3-pointers, as the Blue Jays grabbed their first win of the season over the Indians in the Rolla "Duke" Herbert Classic at Crystal City.

Tyler Gosnel scored 21 points and Taylor Kent tossed in 19 points for Jefferson (1-1).

Tyler Unterreiner netted 13 points and Jordan Rellergert chipped in 12 points to pace St. Vincent (0-2). The Indians will square off against Herculaneum tonight at 5 p.m. for the consolation title.

Ryan Palmer scored a game-high 22 points and dished out three assists as the Crusaders fell just short of dealing the host Hornets their first loss of the season in the Rolla "Duke" Herbert Classic.

Elwood Voss recorded 16 points and five rebounds for Saxony Lutheran (1-1), while Corie Williams added 12 points and five rebounds. Chase Steffens also had three assists for the Crusaders in the loss.

Dylan Zeiter led with 18 points and Andrew Sawdy tossed in 17 points for Crystal City (5-0). A.J. Bassin added 11 points for the Hornets.

Saxony Lutheran will face Jefferson for third place at 6:30 p.m. today. Crystal City and St. Clair (2-0) will meet for the title at 8 p.m.

Brian Jones had 10 points to pace Liberty (0-2).
