Landon Mills hit a two-run home run to help lead the Jackson baseball team to a 5-3 vengeful victory over its conference nemesis Poplar Bluff on Wednesday.
Tyler Slinkard picked up the win on the mound. He went the distance and gave up three earned runs on seven hits, struck out seven and walked one.
Ben Maudie and Cameron Duke each added a triple for Jackson (11-15, 2-5).
Wesley Pyles took the loss. He pitched five innings and gave up five earned runs on seven hits with 13 strikeouts and no walks.
Lucas Tibbs hit a double to pace Poplar Bluff (14-3, 4-1).
The Mules defeated the Indians 11-1 six days ago in the opening round of the SEMO Conference Tournament.

Cody Payne went 4 for 6 at the plate and batted in six runs as the Red Devils routed the Eagles on the road.
Layton Tenkhoff was the winning pitcher. He threw five innings and allowed four earned runs on four hits, struck out six and walked two.
Jordan Kinder and Devon Yahn each doubled for Chaffee (19-2).
Mack Marcum took the loss on the mound. He pitched 2/3 of an inning and allowed two earned runs and four unearned runs on three hits, struck out one and walked one.
Dustin Bryars hit a double and Levi Branam had four RBIs to pace East Prairie (5-13).

The Bearcats rallied from a 4-0 deficit and scored eight runs in their final two at-bats to deal a vengeful victory to the conference rival Tigers.
Jason Mattison secured a complete-game victory for Dexter (7-10, 2-4). He allowed seven hits and struck out six.
Mattison, Colton Averett and Nick Noble had consecutive two-out RBI hits for the Bearcats in the bottom of the fifth inning.
A sacrifice fly by Dexter's Dalton Manuel tied the game at 5-5 in the bottom of the sixth inning. Cody Neldon followed with a two-run homer to put the Bearcats on top 7-5. Dexter added an unearned run later in the sixth to set the final score.
Josh Morse, who pitched the first 5 1/3 innings for Central (8-15, 1-4), drove home the Tigers' first run from third base when he grounded out in the top of the first.
Central's Tyler Myers had a two-RBI single in the top of the fourth inning. Hayden Lynn also collected an RBI in the top of the fourth on a groundout for the Tigers.
Central defeated Dexter 6-5 in 10 innings five days ago in a consolation semifinal of the SEMO Conference Tournament.
