The Central girls basketball team has started off its season with a bang by reaching the championship game of the Northwest tournament.
Central improved to 2-0 with Thursday night's 57-38 victory over Kirkwood.
Alayah Cooper-Johnson led the Tigers with 23 points while Bailey Kratochvil added 14 points.
The Tigers will play for the title at 3 p.m. Saturday.

The third-seeded Indians have a rematch against fifth-seeded Farmington (1-1) at 3:30 p.m. Saturday for fifth place. The Knightettes defeated Jackson 48-39 in the Indians' season opener last week.
