Cody Boehme stopped everything he saw to post the shutout in the Jackson boys soccer team's 2-0 victory over Sikeston on Tuesday.

The Indians scored both goals in the first half and made them stand up.

Law Duncan opened the scoring off a pass from Brice Steger.

Hunter Garrison doubled the Indians' lead when he took a pass from Brandon Liebeknecht and found the back of the net.

Jackson improved to 11-4 with the win.

Saxony Lutheran 3, Anna-Jonesboro 0

Brent Rodewald scored a pair to lead the Crusaders to the home win.

Gus Klaus scored Saxony's other goal.

Matthew Stueve posted the shutout, while Trevor Mabuce, Taylor Johnson and Logan Sprandel recorded assists for the Crusaders (11-2).

Eagle Ridge 9, Lighthouse 0

Sam Davis scored three goals as the Eagles breezed to victory.

Aaron Margrabe and Stephen Cohen each added two goals, while Roy Yoon and Michael Perez scored one apiece. Davis, Margrabe, Cohen and Yoon each finished with an assist.

SOFTBALL

Kelly 4, Poplar Bluff 3

Kristen Powell scored all the way from first base on a sacrifice bunt by Londyn Backfisch to provide the game-winning run in a home victory for the Hawks.

Powell, who reached on an error in the fifth, tried to advance to third on Backfisch's bunt and scored when the throw got away.

Danielle Dock recorded the win for Kelly (15-5) with four innings of one-hit relief. She struck out nine and walked one. Dock had relieved Powell, who was lifted after a three-run third by the Mules.

Dock went 2 for 3 with a double. Kaitlin Glastetter and Carissa Klipfel also had doubles.

Melanie Lacey ripped a two-run triple in a four-run sixth as the Rams won on senior day.

Alexis Spriggs also tripled in the sixth for Scott City (6-12). Macy Heisserer added a double as the Rams had five hits overall. Jenna Cummins finished with two RBIs.

Rachel Reed recorded the win on the mound.

Meghan Dohogne smacked nine kills and added eight digs to lead the Bulldogs to the home win.

Alyssa Ruopp had 10 service points and two aces while Shannon Brennan gave 16 assists and three kills in the win.

Allyson Bradshaw and Amy Wibbenmeyer both had four kills as Notre Dame improved to 17-1.

Leopold 25 25 Meadow Hts 16 18

Mackenzie Beel led the Wildcats with 10 kills in the road win.

Abby Landewee had nine kills and two blocks, while Kirsten Thele pounded seven kills and four aces for Leopold (14-2).

Erin Bollmann recorded four kills and one block, while Heather Dietiker had two kills and two blocks for the Panthers.

Mica Morse added seven digs in the loss.

Brooke Simpson recorded 11 kills, four aces and eight digs as the Rams rolled to victory.

Stephanie Essner had five kills and three digs, while Katie Hogan gave eight kills and five digs in the win.

Mikah Simpson chipped in six kills and 11 digs for Scott City (17-2).

Rachael Myer put up 19 assists and eight digs to lead the Indians.

Logan Johnson led the Pirates to victory with six aces.

Amanda Young recorded four aces and 14 service points as the Eagles fell to 1-9-1.

The Eagles improved to 8-6 with a road sweep.

Megan Woodall had three aces among her 11 service points, and Susanna Cohen served four aces and had two kills.
