Gridiron: Follow along on semoball.com

Each and every Friday night in the fall — along with the occasional Thursday and Saturday — the Southeast Missourian sports crew will be out in the field taking photos and reporting on your local high school football teams.

While we can’t be everywhere at once — and believe me, I tried — we strive to provide consistent updates for each of our area teams. We take pride in our ability to highlight our local athletes, and look forward to improving our coverage this season. We will provide readers with game coverage on Friday nights, features on your favorite players and our opinions as the season progresses.

There are several ways to ensure you don’t miss out on any of the action. The first would be to subscribe to the Southeast Missourian or Semoball.com to keep up with our articles. Second, follow Se-moball.com on Facebook, Twitter (currently known as X) and Instagram, in case you happen to miss one of our articles on the website. Third, follow sports reporter Clay Herrell (@claysemoball) on Twitter and myself on Instagram (tony_capobi-anco) for live updates during the games we cover live and scores from other games in our region. Cole Lee and Justin Trovillion will man Mission Control to update and round up the games we weren’t present for each week.

We also try to be very communicative with our audience and encourage you to reach out at any point during the season if you have any questions, concerns or ideas, as we embark on our journey.
