EAGLE RIDGE CHRISTIAN BOYS DROP 71-38 DECISION TO UNITY CHRISTIAN

Eagle Ridge Christian School dropped to 4-2 on the season after suffering a 71-48 home loss to Unity Christian of Herrin, Ill. on Saturday.

Toby Shreeve scored 16 for Eagle Ridge, followed by Brandon Sparkman with 14 and Andrew Mellis with 13.

Jared Sparks scored 22 for Unity Christian, while Andy Murrow scored 19 and Micah Oakley added 17.

Eagle Ridge trailed 44-29 at halftime.

Eagle Ridge 23, Unity Christian 19

The Eagle Ridge girls basketball team evened its record at 2-2 with a low-scoring win.

Hannah Cordes scored 12 to lead Eagle Ridge and was the only player to score in double figures for either team.

Eagle Ridge led 14-11 at halftime and 19-17 at the end of the third quarter.

Unity Christian made just one of its 12 free throw attempts, while Eagle Ridge made five of 22. There were 45 fouls called in the game.
