The Delta softball team topped previously unbeaten Portageville 4-1 to claim the title in the Doniphan Tournament on Saturday.
Kendra Burnett stuck out six and allowed two hits in the win.
Kaci Menz had two hits for Delta (6-1), which avenged a loss from earlier this season.
Burnett pitched all five innings in a 5-0 victory against Brookland, Ark., on Saturday. Burnett allowed just one hit and struck out five.
Sara Blattel had two hits for Delta in that game, and Jodi Menz drove in three.

Severe weather shortened the Murphysboro Invitational, but it did not prevent Jackson's girls from bringing home 11 top-three finishes, including four first-place showings.
Landon Wachter (800 meters), Heather Hileman (high jump), Jill Rushin (discus) and Amanda Peiffer (shot put) all won individual honors.
Jackson's girls led the meet before the events were suspended.
Greg Gibson won the 3,200 for the Jackson boys team. Notre Dame sophomore Logan Davis was second in the 3,200.
