Delta's softball team was eliminated from the Class 1 District 1 tournament 3-0 by host Naylor in Friday afternoon's championship game, thanks to two crucial errors and great pitching by Naylor's Meagan Young.
Delta hurler Sarah Cook also dominated and allowed just four hits, but was done in by errors in the second and sixth innings. Sara Blattel was the primary offensive threat for the Bobcats, going 3-for-3.
The top-seeded Bobcats, who finished the season with a 13-11 record, had six hits off Young. Third-seeded Naylor scored one run in the second inning and two more in the sixth.

Class 3 District 2
The semifinal round of the Class 3 District 2 tournament at Herculaneum was canceled due to rain. As a result, the semifinals and championship will be played today.
Top-seeded Notre Dame will play No. 4 St. Pius at noon, and No. 2 Windsor will take on No. 3 Herculaneum at 2 p.m. The championship game will follow immediately.
VOLLEYBALL Advance 25-25 Woodland 16-22
Kaci Cooper had 10 kills and five blocks to lead Advance at home. Kacie Ritter had 12 assists, Stephania Jordan had five digs and Angela Broshuis added four digs for the Hornets (14-9-1).

New Salem 25-25 People's Christian 18-11
New Salem swept People's Christian on the road in Arnold, Mo. Laura Poole had seven assists and Sarah Green had five kills for New Salem (8-4).

Eagle Ridge 25-25 Liberty (Festus) 13-21
Eagle Ridge rolled past Liberty of Festus, Mo. Leading the way for Eagle Ridge were Autumn Crowder (nine kills), Savanna Irizarry (eight assists) and Chelsey Clark (three aces, four assists, two kills).
Football SCOTT CITY 42, FREDERICKTOWN 12
Scott City (6-0) remained perfect with its victory over Fredericktown on the road.
