Gene Galnore of Jackson recorded a hole-in-one Sunday at Kimbeland Country Club.

Galnore used a pitching wedge to ace No. 12, a par 3 playing 80 yards. Witnesses were Don Norman, Jim Evans and Ron Greenlee.

ND Tournament at Dalhousie Golf Club

The team of Richie Phillips, Luke McMahn, Price Coakley and Todd Barnette shot a 54 to win a scorecard playoff and claim first in the afternoon portion of the Notre Dame Tournament four-man scramble last week at Dalhousie Golf Club.

Chris Canfield, Erin Rich, Kyle Magill and Joe Ramelsburg also shot a 54. One stroke back was the team of Keith Brugger, Jeff Appelman, Kenny Jones and Darrell Koenig.

The team of Rob Janet, Tim William, Kevin Ford and Mike Kohlfeld finished first in A flight with a 59, while the foursome of Berry Urhahn, Mike Landeros, Brian Friga and Todd Conklin claimed the top spot in B flight with a 67.

Closest-to-the-pin winners were Neil Scherer (No. 5), Stuart Dohogne (No. 11) and Sean O'dneal (No. 13).

The longest drives belonged to Terry Farrow (men) and Ann Dohogne (women).

In the morning, the team of Steve Slaten, Bryce Faulkner, Ken Ruth and Dean Meyer shot a 56 and won a three-team playoff.

Chris Edmonds, Bryan Johnson, Mike Young and Kevin Stanfield finished second, while Chris Canfield, Erin Rich, Kyle Magill and Joe Rammelsberg took third.

Bob Buehrle, Pat Buehrle, Ed Rinda and Paul Nenninger shot a 61 in A flight, winning a three-team playoff. In B flight, Jeff Unterreiner, Kevin Suiter, Mike Suiter and Chris Baker shot a 64 and also won a playoff to claim first.

Closest-to-the-pin winners were Unterreiner (No. 5), Stephen Huffstutler (No. 11) and Jason Slinkard (No. 13).

Phillips won the all-day closest-to-the-pin on No. 8.

Ruth (men) and Rene Peters (women) won the longest drives.

Eller team wins health scramble at Dalhousie

The team of Ben Eller, Dave Prince, Spencer Hogan and Denver Stuckey shot a 57 to win the afternoon championship flight at the Southeast Health scramble last week at Dalhousie Golf Club.

Mark Edwards, Bob Garey, Jason Goins and Ronnie Brown finished a shot back.

Closest-to-the-pin winners were Goins (No. 8), Bill Tegel (No. 11) and Rich Dix (No. 13). Charlie Gilstrap had the longest drive.

In the morning competition, Charlie Gilstrap, Tegel, Robert Perez and John Hauck won with a 58. Rob Litzelfelner, John Litzelfelner, Jack Litzelfelner Jr. and Litzelfelner III finished a stroke behind in second.

Closest-to-the-pin winners were Tegel (No. 8), Ray Silliman (No. 11) and Rob Litzelfelner (No. 13).

Ken Swinford (men) and Jenny Lovegreen (women) had the longest drives.

Roe team wins Tartan Jug event

The team of Jim Childress, Zach Stricker and Scott Roe (pro) won the pro division with a 59 at the Tartan Jug three-man shamble event at Dalhousie Golf Club last week.

Bill Morrow, Kurt Schogl and Chad Hull placed second with a 63,

Pete Arehart, Dave Shoulta and Andy Blickhan won the amateur division.

Wheeler wins club title at Cape Girardeau C.C.

Donna Wheeler won the women's club championship at the Cape Girardeau Country Club.

Vicki Long finished second.

Judy Brey won A flight, while Shirley Moore finished first in B flight.

Cook, Glastetter win horseshoe competition

Lachelle Cook and Dylan Glastetter took first place at the recent 18-team SEMO Horseshoe Association event at the Jackson Knights of Columbus.

Ron LeGrand and Larry Glastetter finished second.

Randy Senciboy and LeGrand won a 12-team competition at the Scott City Knights of Columbus. Randy Grady and Mike Kluesner placed second.
