Chelsea Burns recorded her third consecutive shutout, as the Central girls soccer team posted a 3-0 victory at Marion, Ill.

Lauren Thompson scored the lone goal of the first half and then assisted on second-half goals by Kate Miller and Lindsey Taleff. Megan Orr assisted on Thompson's goal.

Central (6-1) plays at Ursuline Academy in Kirkwood, Mo., on Saturday.

JV -- Central won 7-0. Goals: Casey Popp (3), Kristen Shirell, Christina Sexton, Haley Pilsner, Kaitlyn Spalding.

St. Vincent 4, Perryville 1

Freshman Brooke Brown scored three goals, as the Squaws broke a 1-1 tie with three unanswered goals in the second half.

Brown scored the lone goal of the first half. After Chelsey Marr scored on a Jocelyn Moll assist to tie the game, Brown scored to break the tie. Lacey Siegmund then scored an unassisted goal, and Brown scored again for insurance. Siegmund, Sara Moll and Jessica Welker -- all freshmen -- had assists for St. Vincent (8-3).

Michelle Herzog made 15 saves for St. Vincent.

SOFTBALL Oak Ridge Tournament

Sarah Cook threw a no-hitter and added two doubles to propel Delta into the final of the Oak Ridge Tournament with a 5-0 victory against Woodland

Cook struck out 13 and walked two for her fourth win. Delta is 4-0 overall.

The championship game will be played at 6 p.m. tonight, following two elimination games.

Woodland earlier had reached the semifinal by beating Meadow Heights 11-1. Sasha Hutson had two hits and was the winning pitcher for Woodland. Amanda Abner added two hits, including a home run.

Perryville defeated De Soto at the Perryville Country Club.

Chris Streiler was the medalist with a 5-over-par 40. Cory Esselman shot a 45, Jonathan Zahner shot a 48 and Scott Ozark shot a 50.

GIRLS SWIMMING Layafette 139, Central 43

Hannah Kinder put up her best times of the season in the 50- and 100-yard freestyle events en route to two wins against four-time state champion Lafayette.

Kinder swam in the 50 in 24.83 seconds and the 100 in 55.02 seconds.

The medley relay swam its best time of the season in 2:07.21 for second place. Relay members were Kinder, Jessi Yarbro, Joanna Taleno and Katie Bowles.

Kyle Lorenz, Kyle Cottner, Clinton Rice and Terry Wood won the 800 relay in 1:35.3. Wood, John Lohmann, Rice and Jesse Kueker won the 1,600 relay in 3:33.89.

Ryan Regelsperger won the 800 in 2:06.86.
