The Ford & Sons Cape Girardeau Senior American Legion Post 63 baseball team continued to struggle Tuesday.

Cape lost a pair of home games, 5-3 to Blytheville, Ark., and 4-3 to Ste. Genevieve. Post 63 (12-14) has suffered eight consecutive defeats.

Blytheville's Zach Skelton took a no-hitter into the seventh and final inning before Cape scored two runs to make things interesting.

Skelton finished with a three-hitter. He struck out 11 and walked three. Ryan Siebert had a two-RBI single for Cape.

Logan Henson took the loss. He allowed two earned runs and eight hits over seven innings. He struck out two and walked two.

Cape fell behind Ste. Genevieve 2-0 before rallying for a 3-2 lead entering the seventh inning.

The visitors pushed across two runs then set down Post 63 in the bottom of the frame.

Post 63 is back in action today when it hosts District 14 opponent Dunklin County in a 6 p.m. doubleheader. Cape is 2-1 in district play.
