CHESTER, Ill., -- Cape's Kohlfeld Capahas improved to 29-4 with a 19-0 five inning win over Chester (Ill.).
The Capahas laced 16 hits while Chester managed just three off two different pitchers. Garrett Dunning pitched the first three innings, allowing one hit. Eric Woolsey pitched the final two innings, giving up two hits.
Julio Vega got things going for the Capahas in the first inning with a grand slam. Vega had five RBIs total. Shawn Pemberton also drove in five runs with a three-run homer and a double.
Cory Crosnoe went 4-for-4 with two doubles and three RBIs. Darrick Smith and Tom Breuer also added three hits. Breuer had four RBIs.
