The Southeast men's and women's indoor track teams will compete today at the Saluki McDonald's Invitational at Southern Illinois-Carbondale.

The field will include nine women's teams and seven men's teams. In addition to Southeast and host SIU, competing will be Arkansas State, Jackson State, Lindenwood, Murray State, Wallace State, Austin Peay (women) and Tennessee Tech (women).

"We had some very good performances in our home win over Murray State and Tennessee-Martin last week and now we want to go on the road and have the same type of meet," said Southeast coach Joey Haines.

Two Southeast women are already provisionally qualified for the NCAA Indoor Championships and hope to improve their marks today. Natalie Talley is provisionally qualified in the 55-meters with a time of 6.94 seconds while Lutricia Purham is provisionally qualified in the shot put with a throw of 48 feet 11 1/2 inches.
