Hinton, a senior cornerback, was named OVC Defensive Player of the Week. He stopped two SMS fourth-quarter drives with interceptions, including one on the game's final play. Hinton returned the two interceptions a total of 80 yards.

West, a sophomore quarterback, was named OVC Newcomer of the Week. He accounted for 270 yards of total offense and three touchdowns to help rally the Indians. West rushed for 97 yards on 20 carries and scored a TD, and he completed 12 of 16 passes for 173 yards and two TDs.
