Southeast Missouri State senior shortstop Branden Boggetto was selected for the Brooks Wallace Shortstop of the Year Award watch list, which was announced Thursday by the National College Baseball Hall of Fame.
Boggetto's one of 54 players on the list for the award, which goes to the nation's top shortstop and is presented July 2 in Lubbock, Texas, at the annual Night of Champions event.
Boggetto's started all 37 games at shortstop this season and is batting .342 with a team-leading 36 RBIs. He's recorded 53 hits, including 12 doubles and three home runs.
He's fielding .932 and has 93 assists at short.
Austin Peay's Clayton Smithson and Morehead State's Reid Leonard join Boggetto as players from the Ohio Valley Conference on the list.
